Writers create much more than just dialogue and story.  They hopefully create a reality where dynamic characters live, breathe and experience a life that has been framed in the mind of the writer. The script is the vehicle that defines the story and it is comprised of character, action, time, place and language. Through “Free Writing” exercises students will begin to develop their story concepts and then learn how to format them for either the stage or screen.   Students will begin by writing a 5 minute scene in the class. At the end of the session there will be a reading of the original short works for an invited audience.
